Sponsor a child’s education in Uganda, one school year at a time
Primary school in Uganda is technically free at government schools, but in practice families still pay for uniforms, meals, exam fees and materials — costs that push many children out before Primary 7. Edna keeps class sizes small and every pupil fed and equipped, funded almost entirely by individual sponsors covering one child’s full costs for the year.

Before you sponsor
Public schools in the area often have 80+ pupils per class and no lunch programme. Families who can’t cover the informal costs — uniform, meals, materials — frequently withdraw their children.
Sponsorship runs month to month and you can stop at any time, though most sponsors stay with the same child for multiple years to see them through school.
