Sponsor a child in Uganda for $45 a month
For $45 a month, you become the reason a specific child in Kampala stays in school. Your sponsorship covers termly fees, a school lunch every day, a uniform, and the exercise books and pencils that Ugandan public schools often can’t supply. You’ll receive the child’s name, a photo, and a short profile, plus a written update from their class teacher each term.

Yes. Sponsors are welcome at the school in Kampala; email ahead so we can plan around the timetable and introduce you.
Only a monthly gift. You don’t need to live in Uganda or join any organisation, and sponsorship runs month to month, so you can stop at any time.
Every photo on this site was taken at the school. You can call or WhatsApp the staff before you give, visit us in Kampala, and every payment carries a reference code so we can show you what it paid for. Ask us for the school’s registration documents and we will send them.
The usual criticism is that sponsorship singles out one child while others go without. At Edna, sponsorship pays one pupil’s fees and materials, but lunches, teachers and classrooms are shared by every pupil, so the whole class benefits. If you would rather support everyone equally, give to the general school fund instead.
